January 2025 USPS Postage Rate Increase

The U.S. Postal Service has announced new prices for 2025. If approved, the new postage rates will affect shipping rates on postal services that are competitive with services from other carriers, including UPS®, FedEx® and even Amazon. These new prices are scheduled to go into effect on January 19, 2025, resulting in a roughly 3.2% increase for Priority Mail service, 3.9% increase for Ground Advantage, and a 9.2% for Parcel Select.
The proposed Mailing Services price changes include:

If you’re a high-volume shipper, you’ll notice Parcel Select will have the biggest increase. That’s because it is used by many other carriers, like DHL, for final-mile delivery.
The USPS is adjusting rates to help fund $40 billion in investments to modernize its operations, upgrade technology, and enhance the overall customer experience.
